Gordon's House.

Many of you know that I worked at a Boy Scout camp for many years and I loved it.

Last year, during the fires in Big Sur, my friend Gordon, who was also the ranger of the camp at the time, lost his house in the fire.

I went down to camp tonight for the summer end party and stopped by the charred remains of his property and shot a few photos. The only camera and lens I had on me was my beater Nikon D2H and an old, manual focus Nikkor 28mm f/3.5 that I bought on eBay for $30. I threw a polarizer on and snapped away.

Just goes to show you can make nice images with any camera.
