On Monday, I went out to Laguna Seca on a tip that 2011 Moto2 World Champion and current MotoGP rookie Stefan Bradl was riding at the Monterey circuit.
My source was right and I chatted with him and his manager for a bit, which turned sent to the editor and turned around a story for Cycle World magazine.
Bradl is 24 and a nice guy. Really easy going and we chatted about the track and how he had only known it from a video game, but wanted to prepare for the US Grand Prix in July.
The German Bradl is currently the top rookie in seventh place in the 2012 MotoGP world championship, right behind Italy's Valentino Rossi. He will probably be rookie-of-the-year riding for LCR Honda.
